1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Every Tools ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and otherwise processes information in connection with our websites, online utility tools, and related functionality (collectively, the "Service").

Every Tools is a collection of practical online utilities—such as text tools, converters, calculators, and developer helpers—designed so that many tasks can be completed in your browser without sending pasted content to our servers.

By accessing or using the Service, or by submitting information through the Service (for example via the Contact form), you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.

This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.

2. Scope

This Policy applies when we process information as the operator of the Service, including with respect to website visitors, people who submit Contact messages, and authenticated staff who access the operations dashboard.

This Policy does not govern third-party websites, services, or advertising networks that may be linked from or embedded on the Service. Those parties have their own privacy practices.

3. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Service.

• Information you provide: When you use Contact us, we collect the details you submit (such as name, email address, subject, and message). Please do not include passwords, API keys, payment card numbers, or other highly sensitive secrets in Contact messages.
• Account information (staff/admin): If you register or are granted access to the authenticated operations area, we process account credentials and related profile data needed to authenticate and authorize you (for example email address and a hashed password). Everyday public tools do not require an account.
• Device and usage data: We may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and similar request metadata in server logs.
• Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and local storage as described in our Cookie Policy—for essential security and forms, preferences (such as theme), your cookie-consent choice, and, only after Accept All, optional analytics and advertising when those features are enabled.
• Advertising and analytics data: If optional advertising or analytics are enabled and you have chosen Accept All, partners may collect identifiers and usage data according to their own policies.

4. Browser-first tools and pasted content

Most public utilities on Every Tools are designed to run in your browser. For those tools, text, numbers, and similar inputs you paste or type are processed locally on your device and are not sent to our servers as part of ordinary tool use.

We do not log pasted tool input for browser-first tools. We do not store that content in cookies.

If a specific tool requires server-side processing (for example certain future file-processing features), that requirement will be disclosed on the tool page. In those cases, we process only what is needed to provide the feature, apply appropriate safeguards, and avoid retaining content longer than necessary for the stated purpose.

Outputs generated by tools are provided for convenience. You remain responsible for verifying results before relying on them for important decisions.

5. How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

• Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service, including forms, sessions, and the staff operations dashboard.
• Respond to Contact inquiries and manage related follow-up.
• Authenticate and authorize staff users; prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
• Understand aggregate usage and improve the Service when analytics are enabled and permitted by your cookie preferences.
• Display advertising when ad placements are enabled and you have chosen Accept All.
• Comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights, safety, and security of Every Tools, our users, and others.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (including local storage) as explained in our Cookie Policy. In summary: essential technologies support security and core functionality; preference data (such as theme and cookie-consent choice) may be stored locally on your device; optional analytics and advertising load only after you choose Accept All.

You can reopen cookie preferences anytime with Cookie Settings on the Cookie Policy page. You may also control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may break sign-in or form submission.

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

7. Advertising

The Service may display advertisements to help cover hosting and development costs. Advertising placements are centrally configured and rendered through shared ad slots. Ads are intended to fail soft so tool pages remain usable if an ad partner fails.

Advertising is non-essential. Ad slots render and related third-party scripts load only after you choose Accept All. If you choose Reject or Accept, advertising slots remain hidden.

Ad partners may set their own cookies or similar identifiers and process data under their privacy policies. We do not control those third-party practices.

8. How we disclose information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: Hosting, infrastructure, content delivery, email or messaging (if enabled), analytics (if enabled), advertising partners (if enabled and consented), security, and professional advisors—authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety: When required by law or legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; to investigate abuse or fraud; or to enforce our agreements.
• Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality expectations.
• Aggregated or de-identified information: We may create and use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you, for analytics and service improvement.

9. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to operate the Service, respond to Contact messages, maintain staff accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Server logs are typically retained for a limited operational period unless needed longer for security or legal reasons. Contact messages are retained until we no longer need them for support or record-keeping, or until deletion is required or appropriate under applicable law.

Browser-first tool inputs that never leave your device are not retained by us because we do not receive them.

10. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, appropriate to the nature of the data and the risks of the Service. Measures may include transport encryption (HTTPS), hashed credentials for accounts, access controls for the operations dashboard, and operational monitoring.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International processing

The Service may be hosted and operated using infrastructure in one or more countries. If you access the Service from another country, your information may be processed in locations that may have different data-protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we take steps appropriate to the transfer mechanism and the nature of the processing.

12. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, which can include the right to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain processing; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and not to be discriminated against for exercising rights.

You can manage optional cookies and advertising through the on-site cookie preferences banner (Reject, Accept, or Accept All). You can update or clear local preferences (such as theme) in your browser. You may contact us through the Contact page to make a privacy-related request. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, legal bases for processing may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing and improving the Service), compliance with legal obligations, and consent (for example for non-essential cookies and certain optional features). You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, we do not sell personal information and do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined under the CCPA/CPRA, except to the extent optional advertising technologies you enable via Accept All involve third-party ad partners as described in this Policy and the Cookie Policy. California residents may contact us to exercise applicable rights of know/access, deletion, and correction.

13. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us through the Contact page so we can take appropriate steps.

Additional age restrictions may apply in your country. If you are not old enough to consent to data processing where you live, please do not use the Service or submit personal information.

14. Third-party links and embeds

The Service may contain links to third-party sites or embed third-party content (including advertising). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their policies before interacting with them.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page indicates when it was most recently revised. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on this page and may provide additional notice as appropriate or required by law. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
