Cookie Policy — Every Tools

This Cookie Policy explains how Every Tools uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit this website. It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them with the on-site cookie preferences banner and your browser settings (see section 5).

Most of our utilities run in your browser. We do not store pasted tool input in cookies, and we do not use cookies to reconstruct the text or numbers you process in browser-first tools.

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Website owners use them to make sites work, remember preferences, and (where enabled) measure usage or support advertising.

Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser. For example, Every Tools may store your light/dark/system theme preference in local storage rather than in a cookie. Those technologies are covered here when they serve a similar purpose.

We use first-party cookies (and, when ads or analytics are enabled, third-party cookies) for the reasons below. Some cookies are required for the site to operate securely. Non-essential categories below are optional and load only after you choose Accept All in the on-site cookie preferences UI (see section 5).

Essential cookies. Required for core operation: Laravel session cookies (for example when you sign in to the admin area), CSRF/XSRF protection on forms such as Contact us, and other security or load-balancing cookies that keep the site working.
Functionality preferences. Remember choices that improve your visit. Theme preference (light, dark, or system) is typically stored in local storage on your device, not sent to our servers with each request. Your cookie preference choice is also stored in local storage (not as a tracking cookie).
Performance / analytics cookies. If we enable analytics, these help us understand aggregate traffic and which pages are useful. They are non-essential and are treated as optional under Accept All.
Advertising cookies. If advertising placements are enabled, ad partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Ads must fail soft and never break tool pages. Advertising is non-essential: ad slots render only after Accept All.

We do not use cookies to store the content you paste into tools (text, JSON, calculator inputs, and similar). Browser-first tools process that data locally in your browser whenever the product design allows.

Contact form messages are stored as records in our database so we can respond—they are not written into cookies. Please avoid sending passwords or other highly sensitive secrets through the contact form.

Every Tools provides an on-site cookie preferences banner. Choose Reject (decline optional analytics and advertising), Accept (essential cookies and local preferences only), or Accept All (also allow optional analytics and advertising when those features are enabled). You can reopen the banner anytime with Cookie Settings on this Cookie Policy page.

Reject and Accept both keep optional ads and analytics off. Reject records that you declined optional cookies (stored as rejected). Accept records that you allow essential cookies and local preferences (stored as essential). Accept All allows optional features (stored as all). Strictly necessary cookies (such as session and CSRF) still operate after Reject or Accept—blocking those in your browser may break sign-in or forms.

Your choice is stored in local storage on your device under the key cookie-consent. You can also refuse, delete, or block cookies in your browser settings. Clearing site data removes the stored choice and local preferences such as theme until you set them again.
